Waitlist and no-show recovery
Cancellations get refilled. No-shows get caught early.
A golfer who wanted a full morning joins the waitlist. When someone cancels, they get a text with a one-tap link to take the time. Bookings that look likely to no-show are asked to confirm the day before, so staff can act while there is still time to resell.
A waitlist that works without staff
When a date is full or the window a golfer wants has nothing open, the booking site offers the waitlist: date, time window, players, and a mobile number. When a matching time opens through a cancellation, a removed block, or added capacity, TeeMarshal texts them a link that fills in their details and holds the time for 10 minutes. First to book gets it. Anyone who is too late is told and offered the next option.
Respectful by design
A golfer on the waitlist gets at most three notifications a day, and quiet hours apply.
Catching likely no-shows
Each booking gets a simple risk score from things like the golfer's past no-shows, whether there is a card on file, how far out it was booked, and the weather. Higher-risk bookings get a confirm-your-tee-time text 24 hours ahead with a one-tap confirm. Any still unconfirmed three hours out are flagged on the sheet so staff can call, release the time, or leave it.
Weather recovery
When the forecast for a morning improves and that morning is lightly booked, TeeMarshal can text your waitlist and your recent opted-in golfers once to say the weather has turned and times are open.
How it works
A golfer joins the waitlist
From your booking site, with the date, window, and group size they want.A time opens
The matcher runs on every cancellation, and a regular sweep catches anything it missed. They tap and book
The link holds the time for 10 minutes and takes them straight to checkout.
A Friday night cancellation
This is a hypothetical example. A foursome cancels their 8:08 Saturday time at 9 pm Friday. Two golfers are on the waitlist for Saturday morning. Because quiet hours are in effect, the texts go out when the window opens at 7 am. The first golfer taps the link, pays, and the 8:08 time is full again before staff have touched it.
Common questions
Does the waitlist cost the golfer anything?
No. Joining is free. They pay your normal price if they take a time.
Will it overbook us?
No. A waitlist booking goes through the same capacity check as any other booking. Flagging an unconfirmed booking only alerts staff. It never releases a time on its own.
Can we charge for no-shows?
Yes, if your policy says so and there is a card on file. Marking a no-show on the sheet applies your policy charge through Stripe.
