Golfer terms

Last updated October 22, 2026

These terms apply when you book a tee time, join a waitlist, or buy something through a golf course's booking site, phone line, or Google booking button that runs on TeeMarshal. By booking you agree to them and to the policies the course shows you at checkout.

Who you are dealing with

Your booking is with the golf course. The course is the seller and the merchant: it sets the prices, tee times, and policies, it receives your payment, and it is responsible for your round and for any refund. TeeMarshal, Inc. ("TeeMarshal") provides the booking software the course uses. TeeMarshal is not a party to your purchase, does not operate the course, and is not a marketplace or reseller of tee times.

Making a booking

  • Give accurate contact details and the correct number of players. The course uses them to confirm and manage your booking.
  • You must be 18 or older to book, or have a parent or guardian book for you.
  • When you start checkout, the tee time is held for you for a short period (normally 5 minutes online). If checkout is not completed in time, the hold is released.
  • Your booking is confirmed when you see a confirmation page with a confirmation code. You will also get a confirmation by email, and by text if you gave a mobile number.
  • Discounted rates such as resident, senior, junior, or military may require proof at check-in. If you cannot show it, the course may charge the standard rate.
  • Book only tee times you intend to use. Do not use bots or scripts to book or hold tee times, and do not resell tee times unless the course allows it.

Prices and payment

  • The total shown before you pay includes green fees, cart fees if you chose a cart, taxes, and any convenience fee the course charges. Nothing is added after that step.
  • Depending on the course, you may pay in full when you book, pay a deposit with the balance due at the course, or pay at the course.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe on behalf of the course. The charge on your statement will show the course's name. Your full card number goes directly to Stripe and is not stored by the course or by TeeMarshal.
  • If you choose to save a card, or if the course requires a card on file to hold a tee time, you authorize the course to charge that card as described in its cancellation and no-show policy.

Cancellations, changes, and no-shows

Each course sets its own policy, and it is shown to you before you confirm. It covers how late you can cancel or change for free, and what you may be charged if you cancel late or do not show up (up to the full green fee for the players who did not show, if the course's policy says so). You can cancel or change a booking within the policy using the link in your confirmation message, or by contacting the course.

Weather, delays, and closures

Golf depends on weather and course conditions. The course may delay tee times (for example for frost), close the course, or move your booking. If the course cannot honor your booking, its policy determines whether you receive a refund or a rain check. Rain checks are issued by the course, can be used only at that course, and expire on the date shown on them.

Refunds and disputes

Refund decisions are made by the course under its policy. If you have a problem with a charge or with your round, contact the course first, using the phone number or email on its booking site. TeeMarshal cannot issue refunds on a course's behalf.

Gift cards, passes, and memberships

Where a course sells gift cards, punch cards, season passes, or memberships through its booking site, they are issued by that course, can be used only at that course, and are subject to the terms the course shows when you buy them. Recurring memberships renew until you cancel, as described at purchase.

Messages

If you give an email address or mobile number, the course will send you messages about your booking. Marketing texts are sent only if you opt in. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. See the SMS terms.

Booking by phone with an automated assistant

Some courses use an automated assistant to answer booking calls. It can check availability, book, change, and cancel tee times, and you can ask for a person at any time. Calls may be transcribed, and may be recorded if the course has turned recording on and told you so at the start of the call.

Your information

The information you give when booking belongs to the course you booked with and is handled under the course's privacy notice. TeeMarshal processes it for the course as described in our privacy policy. TeeMarshal does not sell your information and does not use it to market other courses to you.

At the course

You agree to follow the course's rules, including dress code, pace of play, cart rules, and local rules. Golf carries a risk of injury and property damage. Your use of the course and its facilities is at your own risk, to the extent the law allows, and is a matter between you and the course.

The booking software

TeeMarshal provides the booking site as is. To the extent the law allows, TeeMarshal is not liable for the course's acts or omissions, for the condition of the course, for weather, or for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in effect when you make a booking applies to that booking.

For anything about your booking, contact the course. For questions about these terms or the booking software: support@teemarshal.com.
