Rates and seasons
Set your prices once and the same rules price every booking: at the counter, online, over the phone, and through the API.
The building blocks
| Piece | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Rate class | Who is playing | Public, resident, senior, junior, military, member, replay, league |
| Season | A date range with its own prices | Peak, shoulder, winter |
| Day kind | What sort of day it is | Weekday, weekend, holiday |
| Time band | A window during the day | Early bird, prime, twilight |
| Holes | 9 or 18 | 18 holes |
| Rate | The green fee and cart fee for one combination of the above | Peak, public, weekend, prime, 18 holes |
Rate classes
Under Rates you can reorder rate classes and decide which ones golfers can pick online. Classes that need proof, such as resident or senior, can be marked as requiring verification so they are only applied by staff or to golfers you have already verified.
Seasons
The seasons calendar shows the year with a colored band for each season. Drag the edge of a band to change its dates. If two seasons overlap, the one with the higher priority applies. Dates outside every season use your all-season rates.
The rates grid
The grid shows season by rate class by day kind by holes. Click a price to edit it. Time bands such as early bird and twilight appear as rows you can expand. A cart fee can be set per rate, or a rate can include the cart.
Holidays
Dates on your holiday list use holiday rates. Use the button to load US federal holidays, then add or remove dates to match how your course actually prices them.
The six-question wizard
New courses answer six questions: weekday price, weekend price, twilight start time, cart fee, 9-hole price, and resident discount. The wizard writes a complete grid from those answers. You can run it again later, or edit the grid directly.
How the price for a tee time is chosen
For each player on a booking, the system works through the same steps every time:
- What kind of day is it? If the date is on your holiday list it is a holiday. Otherwise Saturday and Sunday are weekend, and the rest are weekday.
- Which season is it? The highest priority season that contains the date.
- Which rates could apply? Active rates for the player's rate class and number of holes, where the season, tee, day kind, and time band all fit the tee time.
- Which one wins? The most specific rate. A rate for this exact season beats an all-season rate, a rate for this tee beats an all-tees rate, and a rate for this day kind beats an any-day rate. After that, higher priority wins, then the narrower time band.
- Is there a price change for this tee time? If you (or a pricing rule you turned on) set a different green fee for that specific time, it replaces the green fee from the rate.
The preview price tool on the Rates page lets you pick any date, time, and rate class and see the price and which rate won. Use it whenever a price surprises you.
Changing the price of a single tee time
You can set a one-off price on any tee time from the sheet. It shows as a badge on that row. With dynamic pricing (Pro), rules can suggest or apply these changes inside a floor and ceiling you set. Every change is recorded in the audit log.
